Shanghai Children's Medical Center (SCMC), affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, is a Grade 3A specialist children's hospital co-founded by the Shanghai Municipal Government and Project HOPE (USA) in 1998. It is one of China's top pediatric medical facilities and a core member of the National Children's Medical Center (Shanghai). SCMC is internationally recognized for excellence in pediatric congenital heart disease surgery, hematology/oncology (leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors), developmental behavioral pediatrics, and rare genetic metabolic diseases. The International Medical Department (IMD), established in 2001, provides comprehensive bilingual medical services to children aged 0-18 from around the world, with direct billing partnerships with 25+ international insurance companies.
