The hospital is renowned for its advanced surgical capabilities, particularly in the Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. It successfully performs complex procedures such as liver transplantation, pancreatoduodenectomy, duodenum-preserving head and uncinate process of pancreas resection, hilar cholangiocarcinoma surgery, and precision liver resection. The hospital is also a pioneer in organ transplantation, having performed the first liver transplantation in 2000 and the first small intestine transplantation in Zhejiang province in 2004.
