Rhinoplasty Cost in the US, UK, Korea, Turkey and China
Published
“When looking at pricing, just consider the cost of a revision. A revision in the US can be up to 50k and it's increasing every year. Last year, I was quoted 40k starting price without a consultation in the SF bay area.”
In one line
A first rhinoplasty usually costs USD 7,500–12,500 in surgeon's fees alone in the US and GBP 4,000–7,000 in the UK, Korea and Turkey advertise lower all-in prices, and China is not cheaper than Korea or Turkey, with private clinics at about CNY 25,000–80,000 (≈ USD 3,750–11,950).
Most published figures leave out anaesthesia, the facility, implants or cartilage, travel and time off. Revision costs more than a first operation everywhere.
Rhinoplasty prices are hard to compare because every source counts something different. Some quote the surgeon's fee only, some an all-in package with a hotel, and some the cheapest promotional case. This guide sets the published figures side by side and explains what each one includes.
How much does rhinoplasty cost?
In the US, the average surgeon's fee for rhinoplasty is USD 7,637, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (latest figures, 2023 data), and the society's 2024 range is USD 7,500–12,500. These figures exclude anaesthesia, the operating room and related costs, so the total you pay is higher.
In the UK, the NHS website gives GBP 4,000–7,000 for a private rhinoplasty. A 2026 comparison of five UK providers found GBP 4,000–7,500 for cosmetic rhinoplasty, with London prices 10–20% higher. In Canada, a 2026 financing company guide puts a first rhinoplasty at CAD 7,000–15,000, and in Australia private surgeons quote about AUD 13,990–18,990 for septorhinoplasty (2023–26). Cosmetic rhinoplasty is not covered by the NHS, Canadian provincial plans or Medicare.

How much does a nose job cost overseas, and what does the price include?
Advertised prices abroad are lower than in the US, UK, Canada or Australia, but they are not all comparable. A Turkish hospital group lists EUR 3,650–5,600 for an aesthetic rhinoplasty (2026), including the consultation, anaesthetist, one hospital night, the splint, medicines and first checks. Package versions with 5–7 hotel nights and transfers are advertised at about EUR 3,500–4,500 (2026). In Korea, a typical full rhinoplasty for a foreign patient is about KRW 4–7.5 million (2026 patient guide), usually without the hotel. One Bangkok hospital lists THB 207,000 for a reduction rhinoplasty with one night (2026).
China is not cheaper than Korea or Turkey. Each hospital sets its own price for aesthetic surgery under a 2025 national rule. The public hospital price lists we found give CNY 5,300–14,700 (≈ USD 790–2,200) for the surgeon's fee alone, but they date from 2016 and 2021 and exclude implants, anaesthesia, tests and medicines. Chinese consumer guides put private clinic packages at about CNY 25,000–50,000 (≈ USD 3,750–7,450), and CNY 35,000–80,000 (≈ USD 5,200–11,950) with rib cartilage (2025–26).
“How can you get a nose done for 20,000 yuan? Even if it can be done, it will be at a fly-by-night hospital with a fly-by-night doctor. It will definitely need revision, and revision costs even more.”
Rhinoplasty abroad
| Where | Price | What the figure covers | Source type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Turkey | EUR 3,650–5,600 | Surgery, anaesthetist, 1 hospital night, splint, first checks | Hospital group price page, 2026 |
| South Korea | KRW 4,000,000–7,500,000 | Surgery; hotel usually extra | Patient guide, 2026 |
| Thailand | THB 207,000 | Reduction rhinoplasty, 1 night | Hospital package, 2026 |
| China, public hospital lists | CNY 5,300–14,700 (≈ USD 790–2,200) | Surgeon's fee only | Hospital price lists, 2016–2021 |
| China, private clinics | CNY 25,000–80,000 (≈ USD 3,750–11,950) | Package; rib cartilage at the top end | Chinese consumer guides, 2025–26 |
When you compare quotes, add the flights, about 7–14 days away from home (clinic pages usually advise this long before a long flight), and up to 2 weeks off work, which the NHS suggests. The reason some people still choose China is the trip, not the price: a full health checkup at a public hospital and a traditional Chinese medicine consultation can be done before surgery on the same visit.
How much does septorhinoplasty cost?
Septorhinoplasty, which reshapes the outside of the nose and straightens the septum inside, usually costs more than a cosmetic rhinoplasty alone. A 2026 UK comparison found GBP 5,000–9,000, the Turkish hospital group lists EUR 3,900–7,150, and the Bangkok hospital package for reduction plus septum correction is THB 265,000 (2026).
If you have a documented breathing problem, part of the cost may be covered at home. The NHS may offer surgery when it is needed for breathing, and Australia's Medicare pays rebates only for documented functional cases with a GP referral. In the US, insurers may cover the functional part, but the cosmetic part is paid separately, so ask for the two parts to be priced separately.
How much does a revision rhinoplasty cost?
A revision almost always costs more than a first rhinoplasty, because the surgeon has to work through scar tissue and often needs cartilage from the ear or rib. A 2026 UK comparison found GBP 5,500–10,000 for revision, a Canadian guide gives CAD 10,000–20,000 or more (2026), and Korean revisions using rib cartilage are quoted at KRW 9–15 million (2026 patient guide). One Chinese hospital's 2026 price filing adds CNY 2,000 (≈ USD 300) for a repeat operation and CNY 2,000 (≈ USD 300) for using the patient's own tissue on top of a CNY 7,000 (≈ USD 1,050) base fee.
“I recently paid 23K altogether for a revision (more than 30 years in between procedures, good amount of scar tissue that needed to be worked on). … Her website says a primary rhinoplasty is 17,500-22K.”
Revisions are not rare. A large US study found revision rates of 3.1% after a first septorhinoplasty and 11.0% after a repeat one (2016). That is one reason to put the surgeon first and the price second.
Can you pay in instalments, and do surgeons charge for revisions?
Many US and Canadian clinics work with financing companies that spread the cost over months, but these are loans, so read the interest terms after any promotional period. Whether a surgeon charges for revising their own work varies from surgeon to surgeon, and even a waived surgeon's fee may still leave anaesthesia and facility costs to pay. Ask for the revision policy in writing before you book, wherever you have surgery.
Ask for these on any rhinoplasty quote
- The surgeon's fee, anaesthesia and the facility or hospital fee, listed separately
- Materials: implant, ear cartilage or rib cartilage
- Number of hospital nights and follow-up visits included
- Medicines, splint and dressings
- The written revision policy and what a revision would cost
- For overseas surgery: hotel nights, transfers and how follow-up works after you fly home
Rhinoplasty, a full health checkup and a TCM consultation in one trip
China is not the cheapest place for a nose job. Korea and Turkey sell mature rhinoplasty packages at prices Chinese private clinics often match or exceed. What China adds is the rest of the trip: the same visit can include a full health checkup at a public hospital and a TCM consultation. In China, each hospital sets its own price; one public hospital’s published fee for rhinoplasty was CNY 7,500 (≈ USD 1,100) (2021, implant extra), while private clinics charge more. Tell us what you want changed and we quote all three together.
